On a pleasantly warm Thursday evening our U11 Lions visited Lindow for a rescheduled match after the weekend's wash out.
Winning the toss the opposition were inserted and the Lindow openers scored consistently on a lightening fast outfield. But a clatter of wickets including some good catches kept the opposition in check and opened up the tail. Some great bowling from the younger participants (notably Abdullah with a 2 wicket maiden) was notable as Lindow posted a target of 87.
The Lions upper order struggled against some accurate bowling, but Rhiain held his nerve and Billy cracked a quick retirement taking the game into a nervy last phase. Joseph stepped out and with characteristic aggression managed to help get Range over the line. A nervy but comfortable win in the end.
