Founded in 1845, Whalley Range Cricket Club is one of Manchester’s oldest and most respected cricketing institutions. Based at Kingsbrook Road since 1923, the club provides a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities.
We run a full programme of cricket:
Senior cricket with six teams competing in the Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL) across Saturdays, Sundays, T20s and midweek competitions.
Junior cricket for over 150 young players, from All Stars (ages 5–8) to structured squads up to under-18 level
During the last 2 years we have seen an expansion to a women and girls section. We run a women’s hard ball and women’s soft ball teams as well as offering opportunities for girls’ cricket to boasting Under 15s hard and soft ball teams as well as coaching all age groups.
The coaching and development is led by nearly 40 qualified coaches helping players improve their skills, whether recreational or competitive.
Our facilities include a 17-pitch square, recently refurbished practice nets, a couple of roll-on batting cages, flicx pitched and a friendly clubhouse. The club is proud of its rich heritage, strong community links, and commitment to providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy and develop through cricket.
